New 2021-22 Teacher Salary Schedule

In case you missed it, Dr. Ray sent this email update to teachers yesterday evening regarding the new step and lane salary schedule that will take effect in August. SCS now has the highest pay scale range and highest average teacher salary in the state! The email contains a video message, salary schedule links and FAQs. Be on the lookout TODAY for an invite from your principal to attend a Teams info session this afternoon.

FREE reading resources are now available for all teachers & families of K-2 students! (NEW)

The Tennessee Department of Education announced that the FREE At-Home Decodable Book Series is now available to Tennessee families of K-2 children to help our youngest learners become stronger readers. Families can order one booklet pack for each of their K-2 students using this order form.

K-2 teachers participating in the Reading360 Early Literacy Training program this summer will receive FREE At-Home Decodable Reading Series booklet packs for their classrooms. If you are a teacher who will not complete the training, please contact to learn more about how to help your students access these FREE resources.

Grade 4-5 ELA teachers -- we need your students' submissions for the Express Yourself Poetry Contest by next Monday!

As part of C&I's Spring 2021 Poetry Collaborative, all SCS fourth and fifth grade students are invited to participate in the Express Yourself Poetry Contest, a celebration of language and self-expression. For a chance to win student and teacher prizes, encourage your students to write an original poem that addresses the contest theme, express yourself!
