Mrs. Dowty of Kingsbury MS tells us why she's thankful! Tell us why you're thankful using #WeAre901Thankful.

Even in the midst of the COVID-19 crisis, the 901 community has shown that we still have so many reasons to be thankful. Getting and staying in a mindset of gratitude is not always easy during difficult moments, but SCS is shifting our focus to the things we can be grateful for. Using the hashtag #WeAre901Thankful, we are challenging the community to tell us in a 30-second video clip: what is meaningful to you, and why are you thankful during this season? Mrs. Dowty posted her video on the Kingsbury MS Facebook page. Post your video to social media the rest of the month!

Share this awesome opportunity from Nike and the Memphis Grizzlies with your 7th and 8th-grade girls!

By the time girls reach the 8th grade, they are 50 percent more likely to drop out of sports than boys, creating physical and social barriers that can last a lifetime. So, Nike is teaming up with WNBA and NBA teams to identify 7th and 8th-grade girls who want to help grow sports for other girls in their community. The Memphis Grizzlies will select two girls as “Game Growers” and empower them to use their voices and share their bold ideas. The pair selected will participate in virtual events and engagement with Nike and the Grizzlies throughout the year to see their vision of increasing sports participation come to a reality. The application deadline is December 4Get more info here.
