Mental Health Check
Living Through History is Intense
|
This article is not about necessary health precautions or containment, it's also not about curriculum or technology based learning.
This article is about YOU and your MENTAL HEALTH during the COVID-19 outbreak.
We, at the Coalition, love and applaud teachers in the early learning industry of Northwest Florida, but even on the best days you still need to check on your mental health. Now, in a time when stress, anxiety, uncertainty, and primal fear are evident in the lives of you, and the children you care for, it is crucial to
remember that you cannot effectively care for others if you are taking care of yourself first.
Please click the blue button below and treat yourself.

Research shows that taking time on a regular basis to plan and attend to self-care can greatly decrease stress and increase self-efficacy. Teachers, such as yourself, have various time constraints and busy schedules. Often taking just a few minutes for sharing and offering mutual support can make all the difference, with many child care centers closed due to COVID-19, now is a better time than ever to plan for YOU. When teachers come together and connect, it builds a sense of group cohesiveness. In fact, research shows that a sense of belonging serves as a protective factor in decreasing overall stress, so click the blue button and trade stress for self-care.
