FACULTY/STAFF NOTES
* Carol Osborne,  an instructor in the Marketing Department, has been selected to be a judge on the B2 Awards jury for the Association of National Advertisers Awards, which recognizes business to business marketers in 32 categories including "Agency of the Year" and "Corporate Marketer of the Year." 

* Moez Limayem, dean of the Muma College of Business, wrote a blog post for the AACSB, which was published this week. The dean cited the increase in computer hacking and scamming and voiced concern over all the remote computers now becoming targets of cyber criminals. He called for business schools to step up in their cyber hygiene and cyber security instruction. To read the post, click here.

Heather McLain ('03, Marketing, Business Administration) is now the director of communications with AtLarge and is responsible for leading and growing the agency's communications department. Previously, she served as vice president and director of public relations for On Ideas.

* John Laurent ('07, Finance) has joined Wauchula State Bank as a commercial lender. He is a member of the Winter Haven and Bartow chambers of commerce.

* Jordan Travis ('18, Accounting) was recently promoted to media and entertainment advisory associate at Ernst & Young.

* Dakota Whaley ('17, Accounting) has started a new position as project analyst at Centene Corporation. She previously worked for Grow Financial Federal Credit Union as an accountant.

* Kimberly Ross ('92, Accounting) has been hired by WeWork as chief financial officer. She previously served as CFO at oil field services firm Baker Hughes. She is a member of the Muma College of Business Executive Advisory Council.

* James A. Stikeleather ('17, DBA; '87, MBA) has been appointed director of the health care administration program at LECOM's School of Health Services Administration. Stikeleather has held numerous executive positions including chief innovation officer at Dell, chief technology officer at Perot Systems, MeadWestvaco and New Ventures.

* Brian Lamb ('17, Executive MBA; '98, Accounting) was named global head of diversity and inclusion with JPMorgan Chase. Previously, he served as head of retail banking at Fifth Third Bank. Lamb currently serves as vice chair of the Florida Board of Governors.




*  Most of the events planned and announced between now and the foreseeable future have been canceled or postponed because of the threat of spreading COVID-19. Check with venues and event organizers for more information. Among the events canceled: the Muma College of Business Teaching Symposium, the Conversation with a CEO series, the Sport and Entertainment Analytics Conference, events being held in observance of the Florida SBDC at USF and several others including the spring commencement ceremonies. With regard to events hosted by the Muma College of Business, those who were invited and registered to attend most likely have been notified of the cancellations. Watch for emails from the college and updates in the newsletter about upcoming events.
