Message From Angela
Dear Friends,

It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year! That holiday classic perfectly summarizes the sentiments and vibe of December. As I travel around Prince George’s County, I am warmed by the lights and decorations on homes and businesses and the festive community that they create.

I’m excited by the anticipation as people plan surprises for their loved ones or a few days of downtime from their busy jobs and lives. Most importantly, as things slow down, I appreciate the time people take to truly connect – with those they have not seen in a while, or those who could use some extra holiday cheer.

We have so much to celebrate, as our county is rich with sights such as the annual Festival of Lights in Watkins Park and the ICE! Exhibit at the Gaylord National Resort. Visitors from miles around come to our community for soul-stirring performances at some of our well-known houses of worship. And considering the variety of our businesses, including national chains and locally-owned enterprises, everything we need to celebrate the season is right here.
The song lyrics also speak to “hearts glowing when loved ones are near.” That is truly what makes this season. I appreciate all the support and well wishes I have received from old friends and new on this journey. You make my heart glow!

I encourage you all to continue extending this generosity of spirit to your neighbors and community members as we go into the new year. I look forward to a 2018 filed with hope – and promise.

It’s the most wonderful time to be in Prince George’s County! I wish all of you a joyous holiday and a great start to your new year!

Recent Endorsements

While these have been posted to our social media accounts, I wanted to share with you two recent endorsements that our campaign has received from some local unions. I am proud to have the support of our friends in labor because they are a key part of how we will help fulfill the promise of Prince George's.

“Angela Alsobrooks will stand up for Prince George County’s working people and help create a better life for all county residents, said Lonnie Vick, President of the Maryland State Council of Machinists.” “Angela will fight to raise the wages and help create good jobs in Prince George County. Angela will advocate for a strong public transportation system and increase the investment in our public infrastructure. She will listen to all the voices and stand up for working people and their right to negotiate together.” - The Maryland State Council of International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers

"The officers and members of Heat & Frost Insulators and Allied Workers, Local 24 are honored to offer our endorsement of Angela Alsobrooks for Prince George's County Executive. For many years, Ms. Alsobrooks has been a true and loyal supporter of labor and working families - fighting for jobs, fair wages and benefits. She has proven through her words and her work that she is the kind of legislator that will serve Prince George's County and our great state with integrity.

We believe that Ms. Alsobrooks has the leadership and experience that will greatly impact working men and women.

Ms. Alsobrooks strongly supports our values and firmly believes in having a skilled workforce by continuing to create solid and sustainable careers in the labor and construction industry.

Prince George's County, Maryland and our region will greatly benefit when Angela Alsobrooks is elected to serve as our County Executive." - The International Association of Heat & Frost Insulators & Allied Workers Local 24
