Get Involved in Building the Next Denver Plan

As we work together to create a vision for our schools and a plan focused on equity, we invite you to join families and students to make your voice heard by participating in one or more of the opportunities below:

Apply to join the Advisory Committee by Friday, Feb. 21. This group will advise the Denver Board of Education on key components of the next Denver Plan (English | Spanish)

Attend a Regional Community Conversation.

Take the Denver Plan community survey. Share your thoughts on a shared definition of equity, an ideal vision for DPS graduates and more (English | Spanish) by April 1.

Become a Google Champion - and Win a Prize!

Are you excited that Team DPS is transitioning to G Suite? Do you enjoy sharing your Google knowledge and expertise with others? If you answered “yes,” you might make a great DPS Google Champion!

As Google Champion, you’ll help support the G Suite transition and ensure your school or team moves forward together, including sharing your knowledge and expertise of Google applications, providing individual support to your teams, and finding solutions to problems in a large-scale, collaborative effort.

Access more details and sign up by Feb. 28 and you will be entered to win a prize! (Note: Those team members who signed up to be a Google Champion through the survey last fall will also be entered in the drawing.)

Updated LGBTQ+ Toolkit Now Available

As a part of DPS' efforts to be more inclusive and culturally responsive, we wanted to share the new LGBTQ+ Toolkit to support members of Team DPS in serving all of our students. This updated resource provides comprehensive information about supporting our LGBTQ+ students all in one place, including common vocabulary, guidance for students who are transitioning, and FAQs. "Cynthia and Christine demonstrate Fun and Equity every single day. They started a Glee club at our school for fourth- and fifth-graders. They let any student join, no matter what. Cynthia and Christine worked endlessly each week -- practicing, inviting 'voice and choice,' and promoting DPS' Shared Core Values. Their performance was called ‘Seussical’ and was featured on Fox31 News!

Cynthia and Christine created an amazing opportunity for students who may not feel as confident in the classroom to shine and show their other strengths and passions. We are so grateful to have such amazing specials teachers!"
