Supporting Our Team Members with Resources for Your Health and Well-Being
This week, we received an outpouring of ideas and support from our educators with at-home activities for our kids -- and it was no surprise we got such a generous response from our team members who always put Students First!
While looking out for our students is always our priority, we also want to make sure we are providing resources to support you as the "whole educator." This edition of Team DPS Weekly includes information and resources to support your health and well-being during these unprecedented circumstances -- as well as a few cute kid pictures to get you through the day!

How Are You Doing Your Part and Passing the Time at Home?
As we have shared, social distancing is the best thing we can all do right now to help slow the spread of COVID-19. How are you doing your part and passing the time at home? Whether it’s checking on your neighbors, streaming live concerts, watching daily zoo videos, or hosting a virtual Netflix party, tell us what social distancing measures you’re taking by filling out this form, and we’ll share your ideas with all of Team DPS!
How DPS' Medical Insurance Providers are Responding to COVID-19
Aetna and Kaiser are taking steps to support social distancing by offering virtual appointments, nurse lines, prescription delivery and more. See below for details on how each of our insurance providers is responding to the ongoing COVID-19 circumstances, and remember to check your home mailbox and email for more information directly from Aetna and Kaiser.

What Aetna Members Need to Know
  • Copays will be waived for all diagnostic testing related to COVID-19.

  • Copays will be waived until June 4 for virtual care through Teladoc for any reason (it does not have to be related to COVID-19). Visit member.teladoc.com/aetna to get started.

  • Prescription refills for up to 90 days may be available, and home delivery fees for prescriptions are waived.

  • For members diagnosed with COVID-19, Aetna will send a care package that includes over-the-counter medications to help relieve symptoms and cleaning supplies.

What Kaiser Members Need to Know
  • Copays and/or fees will be waived for all diagnostic testing related to COVID-19 with a referral from a Kaiser physician.

  • There are several options for phone, video and office appointments. Visit this page to learn more. Kaiser encourages members to use virtual options first, and only go into a Kaiser office when their doctor recommends it. This means that most sites will be available by appointment only, and some sites have been closed in an effort to provide more virtual options and more robust care at the sites that stay open.

  • Some pharmacies have also consolidated, but the ones that remain open are offering extended hours and are providing 90-day refills.

  • Urgent Care centers at Aurora Centrepoint, Lakewood and Lone Tree will remain open.

  • Members must register on kp.org. Registering gives members the ability to email their doctors, access their records, download apps for free, schedule appointments and more.

To support social distancing measures, we will be offering several options to get support and information virtually. Visit thecommons.dpsk12.org/openenrollment for information about what benefits are available and how you can access webinars and training to learn more.
