Living Our DPS Honoree
Jacquelyn Hesseltine
Teacher, Merrill Middle School

“Collaboration is what Jackie Hesseltine does best. She is always helping other teachers at Merrill Middle School be successful. Jackie supports the team by going over lesson flipcharts and helping ‘sweat the details’ so that transitions are clear and smooth for our students. She is able to support teachers during her LEAP debriefs by listening first and then coaching to the needs the teacher wants to focus on. Jackie is quick to follow up and ask if the ideas worked and she wants to reflect on what we can do together to be successful. Because of Jackie I am a better teacher.”
-- Gabrielle Gerlits, Merrill Middle School
