PGA SCRAMBLE

Four teams from BruceGreySimcoe are competing this week in the PGA Scramble at Cabot Cape Breton. The teams are representing Duntroon Highlands near Collingwood, The Club at Bond Head near Beeton and National Pines near Barrie. The fourth team is actually listed as Toronto TPC at Osprey Valley because the pro is from that course but the other team members are from Duntroon Highlands.

SIMCOE GOLFER T-24

Simcoe County golfer Drew Nesbitt, shown in file photo after winning for the first time on the Korn Ferry Tour, was the top Canadian at the KFT’s recent event in Oklahoma, tying for 24th. A winner earlier this year, Nesbitt moves on to next week’s Tour Championship sitting in 42nd place on the points list. Right behind him on that ledger is Roger Sloan, who tied for 44th in Oklahoma. Farther down the list is Adam Hadwin in 54th spot. All three players guaranteed their exempt status on the KFT next season but will need a huge week at the Federal Club in Glen Allen, Va., to snare one of 20 PGA Tour cards up for grabs.
