RAPID TRANSIT COMING TO TACOMA
After 18 months of discussions and planning, Pierce Transit Board of Commissioners have selected the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system as the preferred high-capacity transit.

The BRT which is slated to be completed in 2022, will begin in Downtown Tacoma at the Commerce Street Station, and will serve riders for 14.4 miles along the Pacific Avenue corridor to Spanaway, one of the busiest routes in the nation.

SOUTH SOUND HOME TO STATE'S BEST PARK
Money Magazine recently published what most of us already know: Point Defiance is the best park in the state!

The national publication partnered with Yelp to create a list of the best parks in every state, and cited the, "forested hiking trails, sandy beaches, and a zoo," as just a few of the reasons to pay Point Defiance a visit.

SUE'S TECH KITCHEN IS COMING TO TACOMA
This tech-fueled wonderland is the brain child of Randi Zuckerberg, serial entrepreneur, STEM enthusiast, and the visionary responsible for launching Facebook Live. Randi is passionate about increasing access to science, math, and technology for our youth, especially young girls.

Sue’s Tech Kitchen will feature STEM-related interactive displays including drone candy drops, 3-D smores, coding stations and much, MUCH more .

Join the Chamber to celebrate as we host the Sue's Tech Kitchen Launch Party August 23 rd from 6:00 – 7:30 pm at the Historic Tacoma Armory, where you can experience Sue’s Tech Kitchen before it opens.
