Each student is assigned a Guidance Counselor, whose name may be found at the top of their schedule of classes. Counselors assist students in achieving academic success and provide social-emotional support. All students are encouraged to meet with their counselors to develop rapport and discuss course planning ahead of the Sophomore Major Fair and Course Fair. Please see the updated calendar below for important dates.
Grade-specific Social Workers offer additional support and are listed below:
- Freshmen: Ms. Martini, Room 6S7
- Sophomores: Ms. Ford, Room 2W5
- Juniors: Ms. Jerry, Room 1W6A
- Seniors: Ms. Barlow, Room 1C3
Questions about the college application process should be directed to Ms. Cuesta, AP of College Services, and the College Office.
As a reminder, Regents Week is from January 21-24. Only students scheduled for an exam attend school at their assigned time. If your child didn’t receive their Regents ticket, please email BthsTesting@schools.nyc.gov.
There is no school for students on Monday, January 27. The Spring Semester begins on January 28th. Most students’ schedules will remain the same unless they’re programmed for the Sophomore Health class or another one-semester course within their major. Note that Advisory is only offered to Freshmen and Seniors in the fall, and to Sophomores and Juniors in the spring.
