Message from the PA Presidents
Dear Brooklyn Tech Parents & Guardians,
Thank you to everyone who came to our first PA Meeting of the school year. It was great to see so many new and familiar faces. If you were unable to attend, please watch the recording here: 2024 09 19 BTech PA General Meeting (youtube.com).
If you visited the school, you may have noticed a new buzzer and camera at the main (northeast) entrance on the corner of Dekalb Avenue and South Elliott Place. School doors remain locked during the day. Parents visiting the school for any reason must use the main entrance and press the bell. Parents are encouraged to make appointments to speak with staff and faculty in advance, as anyone arriving without an appointment may not be seen that day and may have to return at another time.

Health Hub
504 ACCOMMODATIONS
Your child may be eligible for health services and/or accommodations if:
- They have a physical or mental impairment; and
- The impairment substantially limits at least one major life activity.
For more information on 504 Accommodations, please read here. To request an accommodation, please complete the Parent Form, have your child’s healthcare provider complete the Medical Accommodations Request Form, and return them to 504 Coordinators Erica Gindi (EGindi4@schools.nyc.gov) and Dema Bader (DBader2@schools.nyc.gov).
MEDICATION ADMINISTRATION FORMS (MAF)
Students who require medication or medically prescribed treatment during the school day must have an MAF on file with the school nurses in Room 3W22, including students who may carry and self-administer medication or treatment. A new MAF must be submitted each school year. Please have your child’s healthcare provider complete, sign, and date the appropriate MAF (general, diabetes, asthma, allergies, seizure, or non-medication medically prescribed treatment). Parents, please don’t forget to sign and date page 2 of the MAF and bring in your child’s medication! All MAFs can be found on the NYC Schools website under “Health Services Forms.” School nurses may not provide medication or medically prescribed treatment without completed MAFs.

Your donation makes a profound impact on our students. It is not just about numbers; it is about inspiration and opportunities for the entire Brooklyn Tech community.
PA is kindly asking for your generous donations to thrive and excel in our students' academics and crucial extracurriculars. The money raised by PA will help pay for crucial support and programs. We need your help!! Your donation is vital to helping Brooklyn Tech High School offer all students the quality and range of opportunities.
Our suggested amount for your gift is $750 per student. We recognize that $750 may be an easy gift for some, a stretch for many, and a real economic hardship for others. We ask that each family give whatever they are able to. Any amount counts, every donation matters! We greatly appreciate your gift and your participation is truly important.
Matching Gifts: Another way to increase your donation to our PA is through your company’s Matching Gift program. Please contact your Human Resource department to see if your company offers matching gifts.
