Harley's Dream
for their ribbon cutting. Harley’s Dream was established in 2016 to create awareness and educate the public about the cruel commercial dog breeding industry, also known as puppy mills. Rudi and Dan Taylor are co-founders of this non-profit. Their focus is to encourage advocacy by providing the tools necessary to educate children and adults alike.

and Harley's Dream are excited for their 7th Annual Hops and Harley 2019 held in Fickel Park on Saturday, June 15, 2019. 100% of the proceeds benefit Harley's Dream. Harley's Dream has world-wide supporters, over 400 volunteers and foster parents, many of whom travel to Berthoud for this event. Dan shared what amazing connections they make with everyone that is involved with this cause. This year they plan to give out 1000 swag bags at Hops and Harley. Wildfire Community Arts Center

Lory Ohs, Executive Director; Liz Kearney, President of the Board, and Sandra McClure, intern hosted the Business Before Hours for our members. They shared with us that everyone needs to mark their calendars for these dates: September 7 = Street Festival (free event - open to the public in front of Wildfire) June 4 = Start of Summer Camp (Monday - Thursday 1 - 4 pm). It will run for three weeks. And, U-Create Studio is on Saturdays from 10 am - noon but will be open in June on Tuesday and Thursdays as well. If someone is under 10 years old, they need to be accompanied by a parent. With this studio time, you can bring a project you are currently working on or you can create the "project of the day." Fees involved.
We want to thank our members who got up early this morning to attend this event and help celebrate Wildfire Community Arts Center of Berthoud. Sabina did a great job on educating us on how important it is to save for our retirement earlier in life rather than later. She also shared with us The Rule of 72...Sometimes called the Banker's Rule. It was a very informative ribbon cutting. She shared with us that she has a master's degree in accounting from Colorado University. But, she enjoys helping people through Primerica the most. She started in this business when her son's health was poor and the remedy expensive. Through this business, she was not only able to provide for her son, but help others along the way.

was established in the honor and memory of Vicki Moehling (Rick's Wife). Vicki worked for a local school, Walt Clark Middle School in Loveland, CO for over 18 years. Vicki was very passionate and volunteered in many areas of the school.
The foundation raised funds that helped create the outdoor classroom, greenhouse and butterfly sanctuary (which has pavers shaped like a butterfly) at Walt Clark Middle School. The organization is growing and expanding their horizons. They are starting a scholarship program among other giving ventures but they will always have a place at Walt Clark.
Many of the staff at Walt Clark, including the principal, vice-principal and the STEM teacher came out to support the event. Thank you to all of our Chamber Members that joined in this celebration.
