DustAlarm ES
DustAlarm ES / DustTrend ES
Latest Generation of Dust Monitors from  Monitor Technologies

DustAlarm® ES Broken Bag Detector
^ The easy auto set-up function is activated by pressing a button to
automatically configure parameters / alarms.
^ Excellent repeatability not affected by variations in relative humidity, process temperature or pressure.
^ Ideal for broken bag detection / leaking filter detection in the exhaust ducts of baghouses of various sizes, cartridge collectors, cyclones, and any other dust collector containing filters which may break or wear out.
^ Economical dust monitoring that provides an alternative to opacity detection.
^ Connect with the free DustConfigTM
software to set custom alarm points, view live activity within the duct, or review data history for up to a 24-hour period.
^ Digital RS-485(Modbus) connection as an alternative to relay output and/or for connecting multiple sensors to one control system.

DustTrendTM ES Dust Emission Trend Monitor
^ Adds the ability to provide continuous trend measurements that allow plant operators to identify changes in dust emission levels and optimize the facility's filtration systems.
^ 4-20mA analog output and/or enhanced Modbus(RS-485) output.

Level monitoring for dynamic storage situations

The real-time level measurement ability of the non-contact radar sensor works well for dynamic storage situations including concrete batch plants, grain elevators during peak times, in balancing material levels in surge bins that supply pellets used to fuel furnace or boiler fires and more.

For example, a grain elevator company located in Illinois was looking for some type of continuous level measurement system that could keep up with the dynamic / demanding situation of their receiver bins, especially during peak periods. In addition, the highly dusty conditions caused by the rapid movement of soybeans and grain needed to be considered.

After a period of testin g the RadarRightTM non-con tact radar system, the company determined that the sensor satisfied all of their criteria. It could provide "real time" continuous level measurements and proved to work reliably in dusty conditions.

Radar Right TM Series 400

The RadarRight is a non-contact radar continuous level sensor which means nothing to "touch" your process.

Highlights:
  • The RadarRight Series 400 provides dependable, real-time level measurements at the "right" price for use with powders and bulk solids.
  • The instrument uses proven microwave "pulse" technology and has a small beam angle to concentrate energy for high accuracy and reliability.
  • The sensor has no moving parts to wear which leads to long operational life and low maintenance.
  • The RadarRight is easy to set-up / configure with the included LCD push button display module.
  • Analog or RS-485 (Modbus Compatible) versions are offered.
  • Gimbal (swivel) style process connection allows for aiming antenna for added measurement accuracy and for avoiding internal obstacles, flow streams, etc.
  • Suitable for various metal or nonmetal storage vessels.
  • Air purge or dust shield options to optimize sensor performance in dusty conditions.
  • Series 200 for liquid applications is also available.

Cost-Effective Level or Backed-Up Conveyor Chute Indication for Powder and Bulk Solids... Including Abrasive Dry Materials

Diaphragm
Binatrol® Model G/GX Diaphragm Switches
A diaphragm-style level switch is a reliable and cost-effective way to detect levels of powder and bulk solids in storage bins, silos and other vessels...especially in tight spaces. In addition to level indication, the diaphragm switch can be used to detect plugged or backed-up conveyor chutes.
These diaphragm-style level switches are surface mounted, minimally intrusive units that make them ideal for vessels or chutes limited in size or internal clearance. Also, the diaphragm switch requires no input power.

Use Switch With Abrasive Target Materials
The Hycar® (rubber nitrile) optional cover is designed to provide the Binatrol® Model G/GX series diaphragm bin level switch with additional durability for use with more abrasive powders and bulk solids.  For example, there are several companies that install Model G/GX diaphragm switches with the rubber nitrile covers to be used as alarms for backed-up conveyors of powder or pulverized coal chutes that provide feedstock to boilers.
