Configuring area fill level in Intelligent Insights
Intelligent Insights makes use of Bosch cameras’ built-in Video Analytics to interpret video images and collect metadata from cameras. This metadata is collected, aggregated, and displayed using a series of pre-defined widgets within a user defined dashboard to visualize the data. Read on to learn how to configure area fill level in Intelligent Insights.

First, configure the analytics task in Configuration Manager:
  • Calibrate the camera. Then, click the VCA menu tab and select Video Analytics operating mode profile #1
  • Click the Task menu button, and delete the default Detect any object task
  • Click the + button and select Counter
  • Click next to define the line and direction
  • Click Finish and save the settings

Area fill level requires data from at least two Counter tasks. The Counter tasks can be configured on the same camera or on multiple cameras. To set the second Counter, repeat the steps above. Then, save the changes.
Next, create the area fill level use case in Intelligent Insights.
  • Navigate to the Use cases menu
  • Click the + button
  • From the Use case family drop down list, select Area fill level
  • Enter the name of the use case
  • Select to display the use case as a widget, report, or both
  • Select the Presentation mode
  • Select the Use case time period to display
  • Select the start time; at this time the area fill level will reset to zero every day
  • Select the Maximum occupancy for calculating the percentage of area fill level
  • The warning threshold sets the maximum percentage of area fill level to display in orange. The normal threshold sets the maximum percentage to display in green
  • Select the camera and camera task and assign the Counter tasks to a direction
  • Click Save
The area fill level is now ready to be displayed in the system dashboard.
