TSI is TechPort Featured Client of the Month for September 2019
Dave Ambos has always been interested in technology. That passion led to 24-years in the Navy and upon retirement, Ambos chose St. Mary’s County where he felt the economy and job opportunities were best suited for his next career. He joined Technical Systems Integration, Inc. (TSI) in 2004 and has been working as a program manager for the past four and a half years.

He’s never lost the eye for technology – and in particular, technological opportunities.

“I always like to have the latest gadget,” Ambos admits. So when Ambos heard about TechPort through The Patuxent Partnership (TPP) and the County’s Department of Economic Development (DED) at the Southern Maryland Innovation and Tech Innitiative (SMIT) meetings, he was immediately intrigued. He attended the next TechPort LunchBox talk and thought, “this is pretty cool stuff.” Two or three lunches later, Ambos was sold.
The TechPort InventorMuscle meetup group is starting back up in October! Stay tuned for details.

From the Director's Desk :
As we close out summer and head into the autumn months, entrepreneurs at TechPort are busier than ever. This past Thursday, September 19, TechPort hosted a 3D Printing Fair. It was an opportunity for our community to show off their outstanding 3D projects, learn from each other and gain valuable feedback. You don’t want to miss our TechTalk After Hours event on September 26 where Art Nalls’ AV-8 Harrier jet will be on display. This jet is slated to carry the world’s fastest bourbon in April 2020. Come learn about this 700 mph bourbon with Tobacco Barn Distillery, and for a cash donation to support the Semper Fi Fund, you can do some sampling, too. Registration is required.
Make sure you don’t miss the Airport Innovation District Master Plan Update discussion on September 30. This is a great opportunity for all our stakeholders, investors, inventors and the Southern Maryland community to get up-to-speed and learn about the vision for St. Mary’s future. Please join us at one or more of these great events and call us if you’d like to talk about an incubator idea.

From the Director's Desk is a new feature. Check here each month for remarks by TechPort on hot topics in the tech client and investor community. Have a suggestion for a discussion topic? Let us know! Email: Info@techportsomd.org .
