Emerging from the COVID-19 Pandemic - Lehigh Valley Nonprofit Sector Virtual Un-Conference
The COVID-19 pandemic has been difficult for the nonprofit sector -- as a whole, as organizations, and as individuals. Now, as we collectively emerge from the pandemic, we have new opportunities and face steep challenges. We know that we thrive the most when we gather together, share, and collaborate.

Join us at the Lehigh Valley Nonprofit Sector Un-Conference to prioritize conversation over presentation in this unique event that is created by YOU and for YOU. Everyone and anyone who works in the Lehigh Valley nonprofit sector is welcome!

What is an Unconference?
Maybe it’s easier to start with what an unconference isn’t.
No presentations. No pre-set agenda. No panels.
As organizers, the Technical Assistance working group will provide the virtual space, the general structure and bring people together. Then, the participants run the show! The content is created by YOU. Bring your questions, bring your issues, bring your learnings, bring your expertise around the theme – re-emerging from the COVID-19 pandemic in the nonprofit sector.

The Un-conference will be held virtually from 10-11:30am on June 30th. There is no registration deadline, although we do a cap for attendees, so sign up today!
COVID-19 Updates
Currently, fully vaccinated individuals do not have to wear a mask, unless required by a business or organization. Pennsylvania’s masking order, regardless of vaccination status, will be lifted on June 28, or when 70% of Pennsylvanians are fully vaccinated, whichever comes first. The Pfizer vaccine has received authorization for children ages 12+, opening the door for children to be fully vaccinated before the 2021-2022 school year.

The Shanthi Project is partnering with the YWCA, the NAACP of Allentown and Bethlehem, and the Allentown Human Relations Commission to offer the free virtual workshop “Practicing Radical Self Care: An Act of Liberation” on June 10th from 6:30pm-8:30pm.

The Shanthi Project is also hosting a BIPOC Healing Collective created by and for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color to provide a kind, engaged, and open community for the BIPOC community to gather and practice together. The series will be held live on zoom Thursdays from 6:30pm-8:30pm from June 17th through August 5th
Strategic Response Team
Technical Assistance Working Group

The Strategic Response Team (SRT) launched in the wake of COVID19 to provide a rapid, informed, and coordinated approach to assessing community need and quickly allocating dollars to the areas of greatest need. Soon afterwards, the SRT spun out a Technical Assistance Working Group to ensure area non-profit organizations have the specialized resources, information, and support they need to continue operations and respond to rapidly changing community needs. The TA Working Group is a community collaboration consisting of representatives from funding organizations, local government, grassroots community organizations, health networks, community health and non-profit organizations who bring their varied perspectives to the table to create the most effective impact.
