Google Acquires Technion Startup Wiz in $32B Deal

Google acquires cloud security company Wiz for $32 billion, marking the largest acquisition in both Google's history and Israel's tech sector. Wiz provides comprehensive cloud security solutions that protect major enterprises, serving nearly half of the top 100 U.S. companies with $500 million in annual recurring revenue. The company was founded by Technion alumnus Assaf Rappaport, who earned his MSc in Computer Science under Prof. Danny Raz. The Stephen and Nancy Grand Aerospace Building

The Faculty of Aerospace Engineering is a focal point of national aerospace research in Israel and the Technion plays an integral role in outperforming aggressive regional powers to independently ensure the safety and security of Israeli citizens through cutting edge aerospace technology. To support this growing faculty, the Technion is looking for funding to complete its plans of constructing a new Aerospace Engineering building alongside the original building on Mt. Carmel, featuring a substantial increase in available space for classrooms, laboratories, and offices. Join us in supporting the aerospace and security initiative at the Technion.
