A Cool Solution - New Heat Transfer Tapes for Electronic Systems
Heat is often the enemy of performance in today's intricate electronic systems, Techsil's two new thermally conductive, pressure sensitive adhesive tapes (TIM 202331 & TIM 202332) provide a cooling solution by efficiently transmitting heat away from sensitive components. These double-sided tapes are designed for bonding heat sinks on PCBs, LED strips and IC packages, mounting of ICs, GPUs, heat pipes and for heat sink assembly.

Techsil Trades Tape for Hotmelt Adhesive in Packaging Process
As industrial suppliers of adhesives, sealants and tapes Techsil send out hundreds of packages every week. Over 18 months ago we made the switch from using parcel tape to hotmelt to seal our boxes.
Originally the change was made for aesthetic reasons - the tidy finish on a box sealed with hot melt is a far neater method. However once we made the switch we then noticed not only how much quicker it was but also the cost saving benefit! All very important factors to be considered when working on a large distribution scale.

Industrial Silicone Textile Coating Now Available at Techsil Online
Addition cure is fast becoming the preferred technology for textile coating with silicones. Solvents can usually be avoided and no by-products are generated during the cure. The addition reaction is very fast and work life can be adjusted to the needs of the application. SLE5300 (a silicone liquid elastomer manufactured by Momentive Performance Materials) is an addition cure special friction coating material that penetrates closely knit fabric. SLE5300 cures to a white 33 Shore A rubber from a resin type product and makes an excellent choice when looking for a smooth and non-blocking surface.

June 2015 saw the launch of the newest addition to the family of VELCRO® Brand fasteners and closures: The Trade Range comprises of general purpose grades, high performance fasteners and a new innovative self-engaging ONE-WRAP® tape. This re-usable tape can be used to fix cables and wires in place singularly or in bundles.
The High Performance products feature impressive adhesive strength - a 10cm by 5cm piece will hold a weight of 8Kg - shear strengths of up to 115 N/cm
2 and work in operating temperatures ranging from -20°C to 120°C.
