A Message from our Managing Director...
Welcome to Techsil’s first newsletter in quite some time, where we round up our latest news and introduce some new product information.
 
Our acquisition by Diploma Plc was headline news and will be very positive for the business as we grow adhesive distribution globally.
 
The most pressing aspect for me right now is security of supply and keeping our warehouse full with stock. Covid has had a huge impact on raw material availability, couple this with container and logistical challenges and we have a perfect storm of more demand than supply, resulting in regular price increases from our partners. Let’s hope these pressures ease in 2022.
 
For those of you interested in ESG I’d like to congratulate Momentive on achieving their EcoVadis sustainability score of 63 and their silver medal.

Techsil Acquired by Diploma PLC
We are pleased to announce that from 1st September 2021, Techsil was acquired by Diploma PLC.
Diploma are an international FTSE 250 listed company, specialising in the technical distribution and supply of added value products and services, operating in the UK, North America, Europe and Australia.

We will still trade as Techsil Limited and operate under our Techsil brand and, with the added support of Diploma, will continue to offer expert advice, unrivalled service and high performance adhesives and sealing products to our valued customers.

We anticipate changing our banking details to Barclays early in Q1 2022.
New to the Team
In 2021, we welcomed 4 new members to the Techsil team: Adam Johnson, Lauren Best, Olivia Tyrer and Dave Adkins.

Adam, our new Technical Sales Manager, joins us from a sales and retail background.

Lauren is a recent graduate who has joined our team as a Customer Service Administrator.

Olivia has also joined as a Customer Service Administrator, coming from a background of administration and accounts management.

Dave has joined as our Warehouse Operative, having over 10 years of warehouse experience.
Going for Gold: Aiming for A1 Distributor Status for 4 years
As you may have already heard, Techsil have been awarded Momentive’s prestigious A1 Distributor status for three years in a row!

This upcoming January, we are aiming to achieve our 4th award in succession. This award reflects the hard work that the Techsil team put in to supply our customers On Time, In Full and Every Time.

Techsil are proud to be an authorised Momentive distributor and we are thrilled to have been officially accredited by them. We look forward to a continued successful working relationship and many more years of this strong alliance.

NEW Momentive UV Potting Silicones

Momentive are due to release their highly anticipated new range of UV curing silicone encapsulants and adhesives, soon to be commercialised.

This upcoming line will offer a range of different viscosities, from pastes to high flow materials.

NEW BJB Mercury-Free Water Clears
BJB are due to launch a new line of Mercury-Free Water Clears. These are designed to have excellent clarity, low viscosity and high heat resistance.

This upcoming line will offer the WC-55AM, WC-70AM, and WC-95AM to provide a variety of softer and harder water clears.

NEW Momentive Thermal Gap Fillers

Momentive are set to their new range of thermal gap fillers, designed to dissipate heat from electronic devices.

This upcoming line will offer the Silicool TIA68GF with 6.8 W/mK thermal conductivity and the Silicool TIA282GF with 8.2 W/mK thermal conductivity.
