The Tedy’s Team Center of Excellence in Stroke Recovery brings together education, rehabilitation, research, and community engagement to advance recovery after stroke. Through innovative programming, interprofessional collaboration, and outreach initiatives, the Center is working to improve lives while expanding access to stroke recovery resources across our communities.
On March 6th, stroke survivors and their care partners gathered for Moving Forward Together, a day focused on connection, reflection, and recovery after stroke. The event featured a presentation by MGH Institute faculty member Dr. Kathy Lyons, a nationally recognized expert in recovery, interactive workshops, and a movement session led by Urbanity Dance that encouraged participants to explore recovery through movement and community.
Tedy's Team Center of Excellence is committed to improving stroke outcomes in our communities by raising awareness of the signs of stroke and the importance of acting quickly. People who arrive at the emergency room within three hours of their first symptoms often experience less disability at three months compared to those who receive delayed care.
