CRC and ProduceGood Celebrate 5 years
ProduceGood has partnered with CRC to provide high quality produce to our food pantry for five years and since 2018 they have donated over 34,000 pounds of fresh produce from the Leucadia Farmers Market. That's over 103,000 servings of nutritious fruits and veggies to CRC's food insecure clients! ProduceGood continues to collect “leftover” produce from the Encinitas Farmer’s Markets on Sundays and delivers it twice a month to our Food Pantry.
CRC Food and Nutrition Manager Yanira Frias says “ProduceGood delivers high quality and fresh produce that was grown in our local community. The clients really notice the exceptional quality of the produce. We are very grateful to continue to receive such a bountiful harvest for our neighbors in need.” CRC would also like to acknowledge and thank our volunteers who come in on Sundays to receive the donations. Yanira adds, “The staff and volunteers really live up to their mission and genuinely care. It’s a beautiful thing when two partners who specialize in different services come together collectively to feed the community as a whole.” Thank you ProduceGood!
