Teen Minds Matter

Teen Mental Health Summit

October 10 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Part of…

MENTAL HEALTH MATTERS

High school can be heavy, but learning to manage stress doesn't have to be boring.

Teen Minds Matter is a free, full-day Teen Mental Health Summit created by teenagers, specifically for teenagers (ages 14–19) across Kalamazoo County and surrounding areas.

Teen Minds Matter will provide an interactive, culturally relevant space where you can talk openly about real life, learn practical ways to handle stress, and connect with peers who understand what you are going through as a teen.

Synergy Health Center Wellness Director Kimberly Lee-Tessmer is bringing together youth ages 14 to 19 for a day of movement, creative expression, and practical mental wellness tools.

What attendees can expect:

  • Engaging, culturally relevant workshops
  • Stress-management and mindfulness techniques
  • Movement and creative activities
  • Free lunch and materials provided
