MTY-Austin-China Links
In more trend-spotting of tech hubs, I ventured to Monterrey, MX, where I was a keynote speaker at IncMTY Summit, November 13-14, held on two campuses – UANL and
Tec de Monterrey.
My global talk highlighted quick shifts in technology sectors and regions, and underscored how Mexico could rise up with a new tech economy, in the shadows of China and India.
You ask, why MTY? It’s a large city in northern Mexico that is booming due in part to reshoring, mainly from China.
Plus, Latin America’s young, fast-growing population, expanding middle class, rapid technology penetration and adoption rates
are reshaping industries and creating new market opportunities, to quote VC Rogelio de los Santos of
Dalus Capital.
Throughout my visit, I engaged with community leaders including UANL Professor Nasser Mohamed in this developing hub. Universities are always a key stimulus for tech innovation.

F50 Nexus.
