Tell Congress to Not Change a Thing - For Once!

The AAFP and FAFP applaud CMS’ proposal to fully implement G2211 in the 2024 Medicare physician fee schedule, and family physicians across the country are urging Congress to support this policy. The existing processes for creating, describing, and valuing E/M codes do not reflect the unique costs borne by primary care and other physicians providing longitudinal, patient-centered care. For every dollar spent on primary care, it yields $13 in savings! However, non-primary care specialties are lobbying Congress to eliminate G2211. SPEAK OUT today and advocate on behalf of family medicine to your members of Congress by asking that CMS' recommendation stand!

Family Medicine Benchmarks - How Do You Compare?!?

Paper with words Benchmarking and charts.

The AAFP is developing a Family Medicine Career Benchmark dashboard, the first-of-its kind, providing a true transparency tool for the specialty. The dashboard will provide comprehensive compensation and job satisfaction data exclusively to AAFP/FAFP members, and will allow you to see how your income and more compares to peers in similar roles.

The dashboard allows users to filter for results by factors like:

  • Location
  • Demographics
  • Practice type

Please take 5-10 minutes to complete the survey via the landing page, which details why family physicians need the dashboard, and includes examples of what the finished tool will look like. Don't delay, complete the survey today!
