What Disability Issues Are Most Important To You and Your Family?

Take Our 2025 Public Input Survey

Each year, Disability Rights NJ is federally required to conduct a Public Input Survey. The purpose of this survey is to gather information and opinions that will help our organization’s leadership set our 2025 priorities, goals, and objectives for the protection & advocacy of individuals with disabilities. The results of this survey are meaningful to us beyond being a requirement. The survey collects feedback from a wide range of people about disability issues, and this valuable input helps us make decisions about the work we will do, including the cases we will accept.

Who do we want to hear from?

·    People with disabilities

·    Family and friends of individuals with disabilities

·    Stakeholders and advocates

·    State agency representatives

·    Court, criminal justice, and law enforcement personnel

·    Disability service providers, caregivers, and support personnel

·    Other individuals and agencies involved in disability advocacy and service provision

Surveys will be accepted until July 30, 2024.

On average, the survey takes about 10 minutes to complete and is available now through July 30. You can fill it out online or print a copy and mail it to our office at 210 South Broad Street, Third Floor, Trenton NJ 08608.

If you prefer the assistance of an ASL (American Sign Language) interpreter to complete the survey, please use a video relay service to contact us at 800-342-0823, Monday through Friday, 8 am – 5 pm.

Disability Rights New Jersey, a nonprofit organization, is dedicated to advancing and protecting the human, civil, and legal rights of people with disabilities.

  • We aggressively investigate reports of abuse and neglect wherever a person with a disability may be receiving services.

  • We thoroughly monitor facilities and community-based programs to ensure that people living in those facilities and using those services are free from abuse and neglect, and that their rights are not violated.

  • We provide legal representation, without charge, to people with disabilities in cases that fall within our priority setting process.

  • We are dedicated to providing education, training, and technical assistance to people with disabilities, their families and advocates, the agencies that service them, and policy makers among others.

  • We provide state-of-the-art access to information and advice about assistive technology.
