Greetings!
We hope that you’ll consider sharing a memory with us for our Carousel Stories Oral History Project before we close the submissions mid-March. You could be chosen to be featured in one of three short videos that will premiere throughout the summer!

The Partnership Galleries have opened new exhibitions. In the Popcorn Gallery, view a group show of contemporary furniture by local artists. In the Stone Tower Gallery, view the sculptures and drawings of ferns by Sophia McCrocklin.

If you missed our Carousal 100th Anniversary Launch event, the Carousal Virtual Tour, or the first presentation in our Carousel Lecture Series, you can catch the recorded versions online.

You'll find all the details and links for these activities and more below.

Enjoy!
Share Your Carousel Story

Send us your carousel stories today!

Our months-long celebration of the Carousel 100th Anniversary will include the premieres of three short videos that will feature personal stories reflecting the unique and enduring role the carousel has played in the community for a century. In this joint project with Story Tapestries, we are collecting information from the public through mid-March

While only a handful of the stories collected will end up in the films described above, many of the stories will be shared in other ways throughout the carousel celebration, and all the stories will be preserved.

VIRTUAL Photoworks
Hindsight is 2020 – Street Photography in a Tumultuous Year

The world has suffered so many tests in this tectonic year that —while being deeply felt — are also paradoxically largely invisible. Health, environment, politics and social justice are all megascopic; too large to be seen. So how and what can photography begin to inform where words cannot?

This online exhibition shows how Covid-19 and politics have changed life in public significantly from masks, to social distancing, to protests and empty streets.
Watch the artist talk with juror Chris Suspect and the photographers.
