Many of you are implementing a range of approaches to improve the quality of jobs within other organizations or businesses or for your own workforce.
Businesses, community economic development agencies, workforce development organizations, community development financial institutions, advocacy organizations, labor unions, philanthropy, and more are engaged in these efforts. Prior to the pandemic, we conducted a survey
to learn about job quality work, and we organized many of the tools and resources that respondents shared in our
Job Quality Tools Library.
With support from Prudential Financial, we are conducting a new Job Quality Survey to learn:
- What aspects of job quality do you view as important?
- What types of strategies are you implementing to advance job quality with individual businesses you work with, within the labor market in general, or within your own organization?
- How have the health/economic crises of 2020 and the movement for racial justice influenced your perspectives and approaches related to job quality?
- What types of resources and information do you find useful in your work to advance job quality, and what else do you need?
We will share results of the survey, which will help build understanding about supports organizations need to move a job quality agenda forward. As part of our process, we will share initial findings in a respondents-only webinar. Please note, you may choose to respond anonymously to the survey, but we will not be able to include you in the respondents-only webinar or gift drawing if you do.
What’s that about a gift drawing? Yes, you heard that right! We will select five respondents at random to receive a $100 Mastercard gift card.
We will share survey findings through a written report and public communication events such as webinars. And we are eager to learn about resources you may be using that we can add to our expanding
Job Quality Tools Library.
We know your time is valuable, and we appreciate you sharing your experience and insights. We hope you will find the survey interesting, and perhaps even get some new ideas from taking it!
We expect this survey will take 20 to 25 minutes to complete. Please complete it by Tuesday, March 16. Even if you identify yourself in the survey, your responses will be kept confidential. We will not attribute any of your responses to you or your organization unless we receive explicit permission from you to do so.
