A Message from the City Manager... | |
“Let us be grateful to the people who make us happy; they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom.” With nearly 50 wineries framed by beautiful sunsets, a charming Old Town as captivating as the luxurious Pechanga Resort Casino, vast shopping and dining opportunities surrounded by our majestic rolling hills and picturesque landscapes, the quote by Marcel Proust reminds me of why I love Temecula—especially in the Spring.
This month, I would like to simply acknowledge how truly thankful I am for the individuals who live, work, or volunteer their time and/or talents in service of this great City. Since incorporation in 1989, the City has experienced tremendous activity, resulting in the high quality of life enjoyed today. One constant, however, has been the incredible community engagement from our residents. In addition to Temecula’s natural beauty, the City has built a reputation of greatness as a safe and family-friendly community. In order to maintain this excellence—we want and need to continue to hear and learn from you—our truly deserving citizenry. We will always value the feedback of those who choose to live, work, and play in Temecula.
To keep up with our growing community and a very fitting mayoral theme of Temecula Safe, I am pleased to share that we will be hiring five additional full time Deputies to our law enforcement ranks (three this budget year and two next fiscal year), along with two more Code Enforcement Officers as we increase our proactive public safety and community beautification efforts.
Remember, from our signature special events, cultural arts, park and recreation amenities, senior and library services to street maintenance, business licenses, building permits and more— feel free to continue to engage the City by attending City Council and/or Commission meetings, community workshops or by using the various communications, social media and City app platforms that we offer. We are proud to be of service and remain here for you. That’s the Temecula Way.
-Aaron Adams, City Manager

Redistricting
Every ten years Council Member Districts must be redrawn so that each District is substantially equal in population. This process, called redistricting, is important to ensure that each City Council Member represents about the same number of constituents.
How can I get involved? The City Council has been holding hearings to receive public input on where district lines should be drawn. So far, three public hearings have been held in August, September and January. Join us for the fourth and final public hearing scheduled for March 8, 2022 at 7pm to be held in the City Council Chambers at City Hall located at 41000 Main Street, Temecula, CA 92590. You may also submit public comments, including suggested draft maps, via email to Randi.Johl@TemeculaCA.gov. More information can be found HERE. Urban Forest Summit
March 16, 2022, 5pm
Temecula City Hall
Conference Center
41000 Main Street, Temecula
The City of Temecula, in partnership with Dudek, is hosting an Urban Forest Summit on March 16 from 5pm to 7:30pm at Temecula City Hall inside the Conference Center.
The Urban Forest Summit will provide community members a space to share their thoughts about the opportunities and challenges relating to Temecula’s urban forest.
Register to attend HERE.
The main goal of the Urban Forest Management Plan is to make sure every resident in the City lives in a neighborhood that is healthy, clean and safe. Achieving this, in part, depends on the City’s trees and their ability to help create and maintain a resilient City that will continue to thrive with new and changing environmental conditions and challenges.
