A Message from the City Manager

Greetings-

Among the most important responsibilities we have at City Hall is to preserve and continually enhance the beauty and charm of Temecula by prudently investing and reinvesting in infrastructure, amenities, and projects that maintain a safe, high-quality lifestyle for Temecula residents. This likewise supports a complementary local economy for small and large businesses to confidently invest in a City that takes pride in their hometown. I asked staff in my office to describe Temecula in 250 words and I couldn't agree more:

Known as Southern California’s Wine Country, the City of Temecula has evolved into a nationally and internationally recognized destination attracting visitors from all corners of the globe to enjoy the experiences and magnificent surroundings we appreciate every day. Temecula has also become an innovative and dynamic job center for the region while retaining its small-town charm and character that is importantly cherished by its residents and businesses. Offering the finest quality of life, Temecula is ranked among the safest cities with similar populations across the State and Nation per FBI statistics. Its diverse population of 109,925 citizens enjoy picturesque neighborhoods, a vast array of beautifully manicured parks and trails, multi-cultural dining options, retail stores that include the region’s premier shopping destination Promenade Temecula, the highest rated School District in Riverside County for its outstanding academic scores, and higher education opportunities including Mount San Jacinto College’s Temecula Campus. Several distinct experiences are unique to Temecula including its vibrant historic Old Town with boutique shops and an emerging foodie district, Pechanga Resort Casino, Vail Ranch Headquarters comprised of restored turn-of-the-century old-west structures that are now home to specialty restaurants and retail, championship golf courses, and City of Temecula community events, parades, museums, and a theater. Temecula’s scenic landscape of rolling hills, blue skies, and vineyards are swept clean by daily fresh ocean breezes that funnel through the Santa Margarita gap of our majestic coastal mountains providing an ambience of crisp air quality that magnifies the beauty of the City and Temecula Valley.

(By the way, you don't need to count-- it is 250 words, exactly!)

This is not intended to be boastful but demonstrates a culture of servant leadership where Temecula citizens can expect their City government is committed to providing the highest level of municipal services. The City of Temecula operates under a theme of building greatness and maintaining excellence. This includes the best of public infrastructure, city facilities, public safety, community events/activities, themed playgrounds, beautiful parks, and landscape to create the finest place to live, work, and play.
