Temecula's Best Kept Secret...NO MORE!

Tell all you know...TEC is impacting youth!!

Did you know that over the last 12 years, The Empowerment Center has been providing support services and training to youth and families throughout Temecula and across Riverside County? TEC has impacted the lives of over 4500 youth and provided services to more than 750 families and counting! With local non-profit partnerships and faithful volunteers, we've been working to fulfill our vision of building resilience in youth and families in the community, quietly behind the scenes...until now.

We are proud to report our progress and acknowledge those that have helped throughout this journey. Stay tuned to our newsletters to learn more about our programs and the difference we're making in the upcoming months.

Our Focus:  YOUTH EMPOWERMENT!
Our  Youth Leadership Academy (YLA)  is our comprehensive approach to building resiliency in the lives of at-risk youth.
Our classes are free or offered at significantly reduced cost because of community donations and our  social enterprise  efforts.
YLA develops youth leadership skills and talent with the following programs...
STRENGTHS DISCOVERY
We partner with Gallup Certified Coaches to teach our Strengths Discovery program.
By combining an assessment and personalized resources, we develop individualized strengths and unlock students' true potential by  focusing on what they do best.
Financial Literacy
 Character Counts
Performing Arts

Through our relationship with Junior Achievement, we use their financial literacy curriculum to  foster  work-readiness, entrepreneurship, and  financial literacy skills  to inspire students to learn how to manage money
and reach their full potential.

T hrough our partnership and certification with the Joseph Institute, we empower youth with the skills for better decision making and behavior by teaching the 6 Pillars of Character: Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring, and Citizenship.
Generation F.O.U.N.D.  at The Empowerment Center   hosts   TAKE THE STAGE, a FREE Youth Talent Showcase for  youth to improve self-esteem through talents and creative expression in poetry, music, dance, and art.

PARENTING TIP
Did you know that regularly connecting with your child is shown to be a protective factor against suicidal thoughts? By having healthy conversations about their feelings, you will create an open environment and encourage them to come to you in times of stress.
This September during National Suicide Prevention Week, take time to check in with your youth and your loved ones.

A MESSAGE FROM OUR FOUNDER
"As a former foster youth, I am all too familiar with the challenges that life brings to tell you that you won't make it in this world or amount to anything. With faith, determination, and support, I overcame the limitations of being a foster youth. I founded The Empowerment Center to be the difference that I once needed. It's my goal to help youth and families develop the resilience necessary to overcome challenges, discover the best of themselves and create healthier, happier patterns of living. Today we have reached over 750 families and 4500 youth and counting...  Thank you for making a difference with us."
