  • If you have not received a birthday call this year or an anniversary card from TBS, that may mean we do not have that information. Please email nhendricks@templebethsholomfl.org to get that information updated in your membership account. I thank those of you that have contacted me recently!

  • Please remember to try to reach out and connect with a fellow congregant. If you need a phone number please call the office so we can get you “connected.” Every call has special meaning.
  • Share your story about how you are managing during COVID-19 or other Messenger submissions about anything related to Judaism or Israel with our marketing & communications coordinator, Lex Calaguas, at lcalaguas@templebethsholomfl.org. We will try to share as many as we can in The Messenger and/or on our Facebook page!

  • Remember to keep the office updated on your address. We know some of you have stayed in Sarasota when you would have normally headed up North or have gone to stay with family elsewhere.

  • TBS Summer Food Drive – thanks to all of you that have and continue to donate to the TBS Food Drive. The committee will be packaging and getting your donations out to families in need.
Anyone needing to physically come to TBS please call the office to set up a time. We require a face mask and the use of hand sanitizer once you enter. We have markings on the office floor that we ask you to look for as we are following the social distancing rules.

Upcoming Zoom Events!
TONIGHT! June 25
Staying Connected

7:30 pm on Zoom

Many of us will have to provide care for an elderly parent, spouse, or loved one. The status of being a caregiver can be isolating and may be difficult to function in a vacuum. We will answer the questions: how can we support someone who is providing the care and how as a caregiver, do you take care of yourself?

July 2
Staying Connected

7:30 pm on Zoom

Raphael will give two presentations on Spinoza's philosophy. In session 1 he'll discuss Spinoza's life, his relationship with Judaism, and his inspiration on later thinkers, writers, and revolutionaries. He'll then introduce his profoundly influential masterwork,  Ethics Geometrically Proven . Everyone is welcome, especially those who hate philosophy. (This is itself an important philosophical stance.)

June 8
Staying Connected

7:30 pm on Zoom

For those of you who are trivia buffs or those who are candidates to appear on Jeopardy, here is your chance to demonstrate your trivia knowledge and skills against friends from TBS. There will be two trivia night competitions via Zoom in which a maximum of 15 two-member teams will compete in answering trivia questions (1/2 Jewish and 1/2 universal). The top 4 teams from each of the two evenings will compete in a final contest to determine the top trivia team at TBS.
