Pesach Sameach (Happy Pesach)!
We have a few Pesach announcements:
There is no service scheduled for tomorrow, Friday, April 19th.
On Saturday, April 20th, we will have our
Shabbat/Pesach Morning Minyan at 9:00 AM,
followed by our Second Night Seder at 5:00 PM.
Please note that we are at capacity for the Second Night Seder, so unfortunately we cannot accommodate any further last minute requests.
The following week on
Tuesday, April 23rd at 6:00 PM
, Sisterhood will be hosting a Women's Seder here at Temple Emanu-El.

Friday, April 26th at 9:00 AM
, we will be holding our
Pesach Morning and Yizkor Service

. Please do not bring products with wheat, barley, rye, oat, or spelt to Temple Emanu-El from April 15th until the end of Passover, April 26th. Please note that you may also not bring items that were opened before Passover.

Shabbat Pesach Morning Minyan

Saturday, April 20th at 9:00 AM
We're celebrating Shabbat and Passover at Temple Emanu-El's Saturday morning Minyan. Led by Rabbi Dana Magat and Cantor Amanda Edmondson, everyone is invited to participate in a lively discussion of the weekly Parsha (Torah Portion) and holiday. As with all Jewish events, enjoy refreshments following the service.

It’s time to read from the Haggadah, enjoy a warm seder, and have a joyous time with your family, friends, and loved ones here at Temple Emanu-El! Join us as we explore the story of the Exodus from Egypt. Passover dinner is served; bring your own wine. Vegetarian meals available upon request. Everyone is welcome. Registration ends Friday, April 12 at 12:00 PM.

Calling all sisters, mothers, daughters, and friends - come share in a delicious Women's Seder hosted by Sisterhood. Join in the camaraderie and uplifting ritual by bringing a Kosher for Passover style salad, side dish or dessert to share. $8 for Sisterhood members, and $12 for non-Sisterhood members.

Pesach Morning and Yizkor Service

Friday, April 26th at 9:00 AM
Yizkor, a special memorial prayer for the departed, is recited in the synagogue four times a year, following the Torah reading on the last day of Passover, on the second day of Shavuot, on Shemini Atzeret and on Yom Kippur.

Our newest Shabbat experience! Nourish your mind, body, and soul with your fellow congregants. Shabbat HaNefesh includes our short and musical Mamash Kabbalat Shabbat Service at 6:30 PM, followed by a Mediterranean feast.

Community Yom HaShoah Memorial Service

Wednesday, May 1st at 7:00 PM
Commemorate Yom HaShoah with us in this community memorial service here at Temple Emanu-El. We are honored to have Max Garcia, a survivor, join us as a guest speaker. This is also with the participation of the Jewish clergy of the community, a community adult choir and children's choir. Please note that neighborhood parking restrictions have been lifted for the evening.

Help Homeless Women in Need

Month of April
Abigail Everett, whose Bat Mitzvah is this month,
is organizing a drive for basic hygiene supplies for homeless women here in our community as part of her mitzvah project.
Recently formed in 2015,
Simply the Basics
collects and organizes hygiene supplies and support partner organizations that are providing direct services to homeless people. You can learn more about their work in this inspiring

Please drop off donations at the Administrative Office here at Temple Emanu-El. Donations will be collected through the end of April.

Courageous Diplomats: Rescuers During the Holocaust

The topic of this year’s Holocaust remembrance ceremony will be “Courageous Diplomats: Rescuers During the Holocaust.” Holocaust survivor Lottie Marcus will share her personal story of survival through receiving a visa from Feng Shan Ho to Shanghai.
