Congregational Retreat

We are thrilled to announce a fun and unique opportunity through our on-site Camp Retreat.  Our clergy, staff, and members of the Temple Emanu-El family will enjoy a wonderful weekend at our Temple. This retreat will be filled with camp-style opportunities for everyone. Whether you are part of a family with children or an adult without kids, this is an enriching time together with plenty of activities, including stimulating discussions, inspiring services, singing, schmoozing, eating, and relaxing. Baby Shabbat

Temple Emanu-El presents a Shabbat experience geared towards families with children ages 1-30 months.  Little ones will enjoy a service full of Shabbat songs, Torah talk, and parachute play!  Kiddush, motzi, and a bagel oneg sponsored by Temple Emanu-El Sisterhood follows this fun-filled program.  What a great opportunity for parents of young children to meet and form groups- perhaps even life long friendships- with their peers.  Everyone is welcome!

Lunch and Learn - Oscars Special

Join the Rabbi for a special Oscars Lunch and Learn, and bring your opinion!  Bring a sack lunch and join Rabbi Magat on the second Wednesday of each month to share in a stimulating discussion of recent events, political happenings, and other relevant topics related to current events. This Lunch and Learn session will focus on the 2018 Oscars.  This event is open to the community.
Tot Shabbat with Catered Dinner

Worried that your little ones will squirm and make noise during services? No need to worry at Tot Shabbat!
Led by Rabbi Magat, families with young children will enjoy upbeat songs, a short story, and a talk with the Rabbi on the bimah during these brief services. The perfect way to introduce your little ones to the tradition of Friday nights. Following services, enjoy a delicious dinner provided by Sisterhood, of course at no charge!
Erev Scout Shabbat Service

Temple Emanu-El's connection with the Scouting movement remains strong.  Scouts from the Congregation and around the South Bay are invited to attend a Shabbat service, coming in uniform.

Brotherhood Shabbat

Brotherhood, the men's auxiliary at Temple Emanu-El leads a Shabbat service during the year. They have adapted a liturgy created by the Men of Reform Judaism, the national organization, adding their own selection of readings.
Brotherhood Paid-Up Membership Dinner

Brotherhood will be holding our annual paid up dinner.  We invite all Brotherhood members and their significant others to attend.  This year we will be enjoying an expertly prepared New Orleans Style New York Strip Roast, Baked Potato, Brussel Sprouts, Dessert and Wine all included with your Brotherhood membership.  

This event is free for members of Brotherhood and their significant other.
