Calling all ladies of Temple Emanu-El! Please join Cantor Amanda Edmondson, the Temple Emanu-El Sisterhood, and special guest, Cantor Tifani Coyot of Temple Isaiah in Los Angeles for a truly inspiring Rosh Chodesh zoom session. We'll explore the Jewish values that go into the food we eat. Kashrut, or kosher law, is what has guided our Jewish eating habits for centuries.

Celebrate the extraordinary presence of Jews in China via Zoom! Through lively stories, photos, videos and music, Robin Helzner shares an irresistible enthusiasm for both the ancient and modern Jewish communities of Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong and Kaifeng. This event is jointly organized by the synagogues of the South Bay: Congregation Beth David, Congregation Shir Hadash, Congregation Sinai, Temple Emanu-El, and Jewish Silicon Valley.

Special Havdalah Marking 1 year of Community at Home

Join Rabbi Magat and Cantor Edmondson for a special Havdalah service to mark the one year anniversary of our community shifting completely online for services and events. On this Havdalah service, we invite you to use the Havdalah candle from your High Holy Day gift bag. Come sing with your fellow congregants, clergy and friends! Be sure to bring your own Spices and Grape Juice/Wine.

Interfaith Environmental Workshop

Come learn how some local faith-based organizations are addressing the climate crisis, share your ideas for environmental action, and link up with a growing interfaith movement.
Speakers include: Marianna Grossman, of Minerva Consulting, who will speak about our relationship with Nature, Jim Thompson, from "This Is What We Did" on how to answer the Ultimate Question, and former Santa Clara County Supervisor Rod Diridon, Sr. who will share insights from organizing thousands of Rotary Club members.
