Worried that your little ones will squirm and make noise during services?
No need to worry at Tot Shabbat!
Led by Rabbi Magat and Cantor Amanda Edmondson, families with young children will enjoy upbeat songs, a short story, and a talk with the Rabbi on the bimah during these brief services. The perfect way to introduce your little ones to the tradition of Friday nights.  Following services, enjoy a delicious dinner provided by Sisterhood, of course at no charge!

Missed services Friday night or can't get enough of Shabbat?  Celebrate Shabbat at Temple Emanu-El's Saturday morning Minyan.  Conducted by lay-leaders, everyone is invited to participate in a lively discussion of the weekly Parasha (Torah Portion).  As with all Jewish events, enjoy refreshments following the service.  This Minyan includes leadership from our 5th Grade Religious School Class.
Open House and End of School BBQ

Prospective members are welcome to join our religious school families for an end-of-the-school-year delicious BBQ lunch provided by Brotherhood. Come tour the Temple and facilities, meet our clergy, leadership, and congregation, and have fun in the process. No RSVP is required.

Lunch and Learn, Torah Study

Food for your body.  Food for your soul.  Need a better way to spend your lunch hour?  Join Rabbi Magat for an informal study and discussion session of our current Torah portion, as we are navigating the Torah in order.  Together we will navigate through traditional interpretations and modern applications of our Torah.  Bring your lunch and be ready to get a new perspective on Torah. Open to members and non-members and no previous Torah study is required.

While we prefer not to think about it, this could happen to you at any age and at any time.  Are you prepared?  If not, join us for an information session to learn about:
-Advance Directives: what they are and why they are important
-POLST: what is it and when do you need one
Individual sessions will be available for those who want additional information and/or assistance completing an Advance Care Directive.

May 30, following the Confirmation Service. Join us for the tradition of Shavuot night study sessions.  This year our study sessions will be taught by Rabbi Magat, Cantor Edmondson, and Phil Hankin with members of our Ritual Committee.

Featuring the musical stylings of our Rock Shabbat Band!  An innovative and joyous worship experience with musicians (piano, percussion, guitars, trombone, etc.) and singers joining Rabbi Dana Magat and Cantor Amanda Edmondson. Congregational singing is definitely encouraged, as is dancing in the aisles.  Join us as we welcome the Sabbath in a fun and lively manner.  All members and non-members are invited to a service like you've never been to before.
