Freedom Concert - One Night Only
Saturday, January 16th, 2021 // 7pm

In our congregation, we share a desire to help all people become free. We will be joined by Elana Arian, Michelle Citrin, Saul Kaye, Dan Nichols, and Cantor Natalie Young as we we will honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and our commitment as a congregation to black lives and people of color.

COVID Vaccine Update
Yesterday it was announced that all Californians over 65 can get the vaccine. Some providers in Santa Clara County are only allowing 75 and older. Please read the information below and contact your provider to see if you are eligible for the vaccine.

The perfect way to teach your children about Shabbat! Led by Rabbi Magat and Cantor Amanda Edmondson, families with young children will enjoy upbeat songs, a short story, and a talk with the Rabbi. All are welcome to these brief services, starting at 6:00. 

Streaming Shabbat Service

Join us tonight for Streaming Erev Shabbat Services. For right now, we will continue to host services online. They will be be streaming them so you can participate and hear Refuah Shlemah & the Yahrzeit list. Announcements will be read afterwards by a board member.

Great Questions Discussion Group

This is an ongoing group that meets once a month. New members are welcome to join. We discuss the Great Questions of Existence that we all ponder, through the lenses of religion, spiritual beliefs and philosophy. Interfaith Worship Service

We invite you to join Rabbi Magat, and other clergy in the San Jose Area, for an Interfaith Worship Service. Our hope is that we will practice ways of binding ourselves together and imagining the world in which we want to live.

Virtual Israel Tours
January 24th // 10:00am

Join Rabbi Magat and his Israeli Education & Tour guide Muki Jankelowitz for virtual tours around Israel. This will be a great event for the entire family to explore Israel. Bring photos from previous trips to share!

Beginning Adult Hebrew
Weekly on Mondays, January 25 - April 5th // 7:00pm

Whether you are interested in learning your Aleph/Bet or beginning the process of wanting to become an adult B’nai Mitzvah, come and learn Hebrew from Phil Hankin, our Director of Education, in a fun and interactive manner (on Zoom).

Tikkun Olam Committee
The Tikkun Olam Committee and Parents Circle – Families Forum invite you to join a virtual conversation with two courageous bereaved mothers, an Israeli and a Palestinian. Despite having paid the highest price in the Israeli/Palestinian conflict – the loss of a child – both women have chosen a unique path of reconciliation and dialogue instead of revenge.

Date TBD in late January/early February, but will be at 9:00 or 10:00 a.m. because of the time difference between Israel and California. If you are interested in joining the conversation, please contact Marci Gerston at marci.gerston@gmail.com or admin@templesanjose.org.

Hebrew Union College: Sing Unto God

Join us to celebrate Debbie with an evening of song and memory on Zoom.
As we have done for the past nine years, we will gather to raise our voices, rejoicing in the incredible canon of Jewish music that Debbie lovingly created.

Jewbilee: Immerse Yourself in a Jewish Learning Experience
Sunday, January 31 // 1:30-6:00pm on Zoom
