This service includes the participation of our 3rd Grade Class with leadership from our 2nd Grade Class. We're proud of our students and their participation and leadership in our service. We hope you share in this delightful Shabbat service with us that will also recognize the amazing teaching staff of both our Religious School and Preschool.  The MazelTones, our new junior choir, will also be singing during the service!

The honor of your presence is requested on Sunday, the seventh of May, two thousand and seventeen, at 11:30 in the morning for the reaffirmation of wedding vows of Marvin & Joan Fox and Robert & Ruth Fox in the sanctuary of Temple Emanu-El.  This community and congregational event is a wonderful part of the Fifth Grade Religious School life cycle curriculum.  We hope you plan to attend.  Everyone is welcome to attend a light reception following the ceremony in the Temple House.

Join the Rabbi for lunch, and bring your opinion!  Bring a sack lunch and join Rabbi Magat on the second Wednesday of each month to share in a stimulating discussion of recent events, political happenings, and other relevant topics related to current events. This event is open to the community.
Special Erev Shabbat Service - Cantor's Installation

Cantor Kay Greenwald will be singing with Cantor Edmondson, and Rabbi Margie Slome will participate in the installation.
Rabbi Marjorie Slome is the rabbi at West End Temple in Neponsit, New York. Rabbi Slome was an integral part of Cantor Edmondson's journey to the cantorate through her mentorship and guidance. Cantor Kay Greenwald, as the Director of Placement for the American Conference of Cantors, has played an important role in Cantor Edmondson's career. She has been there to guide the way, answer questions, and give advice as Cantor Edmondson transitioned from school to her first full-time cantorial position and finally to her new home here at Temple Emanu-El.  Join us for a special service and a celebratory oneg to follow in honor of Cantor Edmondson.

Temple Emanu-El presents a Shabbat experience geared towards families with children ages 1-30 months.  Little ones will enjoy a service full of Shabbat songs, Torah talk, and parachute play!  Kiddush, motzi, and a bagel oneg sponsored by Temple Emanu-El Sisterhood follows this fun-filled program.  What a great opportunity for parents of young children to meet and form groups- perhaps even life long friendships- with their peers.  Everyone is welcome!

Led by Rabbi Magat and Cantor Amanda Edmondson, families with young children will enjoy upbeat songs, a short story, and a talk with the Rabbi on the bimah during these brief services. The perfect way to introduce your little ones to the tradition of Friday nights.  Following services, enjoy a delicious dinner provided by Sisterhood, of course at no charge!
Shabbat Morning Minyan led by 5th Grade

Missed services Friday night or can't get enough of Shabbat?  Celebrate Shabbat at Temple Emanu-El's Saturday morning Minyan.  Conducted by lay-leaders, everyone is invited to participate in a lively discussion of the weekly Parasha (Torah Portion).  As with all Jewish events, enjoy refreshments following the service.  This Minyan includes leadership from our 5th Grade Religious School Class.
End of School BBQ

Prospective members are welcome to join our religious school families for an end-of-the-school-year delicious BBQ lunch and musical fun for the kids. Come tour the Temple and facilities, meet our clergy, leadership, and congregation, and have fun in the process. No RSVP is required.
