Shabbat in Nature

This month's Shabbat in Nature will be at Sanborn Park, at Sequoia Peterson Grove. A clergy-led service will be followed by a vegetarian potluck and hiking. Shabbat in Nature is sponsored by the Ritual Committee. Please note that parking is $6.
Passover Candy
Deadline: February 28th
Help support Temple Emanu-El's Religious School! Live Streaming
We are officially live streaming!
A few weeks ago, we set up our sanctuary to have live streaming. Now you can join us for a Shabbat service from the comfort of your own home if you are unable to join us in person!
While you can't get food at oneg through the live stream (it's too bad, they really need to invent that), you can keep up with Temple happenings and be part of our beautiful Shabbat services. It is now easily accessible through our website at
Challah Orders
You may now place orders for challahs and pick them up here at Temple. For only $5.50 per 1 lb challah, you have your pick between plain, poppy, sesame, raisin, and wheat.
You must place your order on or before Wednesdays by 5 PM in order to receive the challah that same week. Orders received after 5 PM on Wednesday will not be processed until the following week. Join a brief presentation to learn about the Be SMART campaign in the BFR. The Be SMART campaign promotes responsible gun storage and asks all adults to take simple steps to reduce the harm that can occur when usupervised children get ahold of an unsecured firearm.
Sisterhood Game Night

Open to members and non-members! Join us for a fun night of games for a low price, and bring your Mah Jongg cards in case we can make a game! Member prices are only $2.50/person or $10/family, non-member prices are $3/person or $12/family. Tikkun Olam Speaker: Sisterhood of Salaam Shalom

Baby Shabbat

Temple Emanu-El presents a Shabbat experience geared towards families with children ages 1-30 months. Little ones will enjoy a service full of Shabbat songs, Torah talk, and parachute play! Kiddush, motzi, and a bagel oneg. Everyone is welcome!
Shabbat Around the Table ~ Tot Shabbat

This month's Tot Shabbat service will be co-sponsored by the Jewish Federation of Silicon Valley, the APJCC, and the PJ Library. Shabbat Around the Table is a series of Kabbalat Shabbat dinners at various locations throughout the community which is open to everyone, but is specifically designed to help young families get into the Shabbat mindset, with a festive meal at the center of the experience. Registration is free, but please register here so we can save you a spot.
Brotherhood Golf Fun Day

Join us for a fun 9 holes of golf at the Pruneridge Golf Course followed by a casual lunch at Pruneridge. This event is open to all Temple members and would be great for families and children, as a Havurah outing, or just as a way to socialize while sharpening your short game skills. Golf is $24, lunch is $14.

Yoga Minyan

Become a JFS Friendly Visitor
JFS is in need of empathetic and committed volunteers to become Friendly Visitors. A JFS Friendly Visitor is matched up with an isolated senior for a weekly or every other week visit and they form lasting friendships with the senior. "Israeli Law and Society: Judicial Reflections" with Justice Daphne Barak-Erez

JCC Maccabi Games 2019 in Atlanta, July 28-August 2
Each summer, we send a delegation of Jewish teens ages 12-16 from Silicon Valley to participate at this international athletic competition for Jewish teens.
