Baby Shabbat is Back from Summer Vacation!

Need a change from diapers and drool? Join other parents on the second Saturday of every month for a Shabbat experience geared towards families with children ages 0-30 months.  Little ones will enjoy a service full of Shabbat songs, Torah stories, and parachute play!  Kiddush, motzi, and a bagel oneg sponsored by Temple Emanu-El Sisterhood will follow this fun-filled program.  This is a great opportunity for parents of young children to meet and form groups with their peers-maybe even lifelong friends!  Babies and bagels and blessings, oh my!

Temple Emanu-El invites you to an open house and free BBQ lunch!  You will have the opportunity to tour our facility, meet our clergy, connect with our warm, friendly, and diverse Temple family and ask any questions you may have.  Newlyweds, empty-nesters, singles, families with children, and retirees all welcome!  If you have school age kids, tour our religious school facility and see our school in action.   A special bonus:  We are giving away free books!  This event is open to prospective members and our Religious School families.

Tot Shabbat is Back from Summer Vacation!

The perfect way to teach your children about Shabbat!  Led by Rabbi Magat and Cantor Amanda Winter, families with young children will enjoy upbeat songs, a short story, and a talk with the Rabbi on the bimah.  All are welcome to these brief services on the third Friday of each month, starting at 6:00 PM. Stay after services and enjoy a delicious dinner provided by Sisterhood, of course at no charge!

Brotherhood Tikkun Olam Opportunity

Countdown to the High Holy Days...
Deadline is tomorrow!  Our High Holy Days booklets have been mailed.   If you would like to purchase additional tickets for services, register for our FREE children and family services, order a Yizkor book listing or greeting in Connections, you may do so by mailing in the booklet forms or ordering ASAP, orders are due tomorrow.  All the information and links are available here.  If you still have questions, contact the Temple Administrative Office at 408-292-0939.

High Holy Days Ticket Policy
All Temple members in good standing (all financial obligations to the Temple paid through August 2016) will automatically be mailed High Holy Days tickets on September 12.  Tickets are valid for the entire High Holy Days season.  Everyone over the age of 13 must have a ticket.  Be sure to bring your ticket and ID to all services, as you will need it to be admitted to the Heritage Theatre.

Volunteer
Enrich your High Holy Days by Volunteering
We can not have the High Holy Days without your help! We are looking for volunteers at each service to help with the following: Greeting, Ticket Checking, Ushering, and Handing Out Prayer Books! We need about 10 volunteers per service and volunteers need to arrive one hour before the service they are helping with.

The Friendship Circle

BRCA Education Event
