This service includes the participation of our 4th Grade Class with leadership from our 5th Grade Class. We're proud of our students and their participation and leadership in our service. Most Family Services are preceded by a congregational Shabbatluck potluck dinner.  We hope you share in this delightful Shabbat service with us.
Brotherhood Paid-Up Membership Dinner

Brotherhood will be holding our annual paid up dinner.  We invite all Brotherhood members and their significant others to attend.  This year we will be enjoying an expertly prepared New Orleans Style New York Strip Roast, Baked Potato, Brussel Sprouts, Dessert and Wine all included with your Brotherhood membership.  

This event is free for members of Brotherhood and their significant other.

Israeli Dancing

Put on your dancin' shoes and join our free dancing class taught by our very own Loui Tucker. This class takes place on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month. No dance experience necessary and we welcome everyone from the community to join.

Need a change from diapers and drool?  Join other parents on the second Saturday of every month for a Shabbat experience geared towards families with children ages 0-30 months.  Little ones will enjoy a service full of Shabbat songs, Torah stories, and parachute play!  Kiddush, motzi, and a bagel oneg sponsored by Temple Emanu-El Sisterhood will follow this fun-filled program.  This is a great opportunity for parents of young children to meet and form groups with their peers-maybe even lifelong friends!  Babies and bagels and blessings, oh my!
EESY Casino Night and Shul-In

All 8th graders and older! Please join Temple Emanu-El's Senior Youth Group, EESY, for our annual Casino Night, combined with our Shul In filled with casino games, karaoke, dinner, and much more! Youth Enrichment Scholarships
Apply by Sunday, March 11
Applications for youth summer scholarships are now being accepted by the Youth Enrichment Fund through March 11.  All who apply will receive a minimum of $100 and we will be awarding 2 $1000 merit scholarships which when matched by Newman will cover the ENTIRE cost of a 10 day session.  Need based awards are also available.  Applications are available on our website.

Worried that your little ones will squirm and make noise during services? No need to worry at Tot Shabbat! Led by Rabbi Magat and Cantor Amanda Edmondson, families with young children will enjoy upbeat songs, a short story, and a talk with the Rabbi on the bimah during these brief services. The perfect way to introduce your little ones to the tradition of Friday nights. Following services, enjoy a delicious dinner provided by Sisterhood, of course at no charge!

Ladies, please join us on Sunday, March 18 for a relaxed lunch and spiritually uplifting experience, as Cantor Edmondson helps us welcome the new month of Nisan. This Rosh Chodesh experience, co-sponsored by the Temple Ritual Committee and Sisterhood, is open to all adult women in the congregation. We will take this opportunity to celebrate and honor Miriam - the woman who brought song and dance to our ancestors after being freed from Egypt - by making our own timbrels! Please come, enjoy lunch lovingly provided by Sisterhood, and see what this relaxing and rewarding experience is all about! A $15 donation for supplies is encouraged. Mitzvah Project
March 4 to April 16
Recent B'nai mitzvah students, Rachel Weinberg of Temple Emanu-El and Sylvie Loh of Shir Hadash, are running a drive to collect gently used or new kitchen supplies for refugees in need. The collected items will be donated to the Jewish Family Services for refugee families. These families are in desperate need of kitchen items like pots and pans, spatulas, utensil sets, etc. Donated items must all be in good condition or new. From March 4 to April 16, there will be a box located in the sanctuary foyer where you can bring your donations.Thank you so much for your help!

Silicon Valley Take Steps for Crohn's & Colitis
