Proposition 15: The lack of funding for California’s schools and essential local services is a profound problem in California. Is Proposition 15 a good solution? What does the measure actually do? What Jewish perspectives might inform this vote?
RAC-CA is not taking a pro or con position on Prop. 15, rather we are planning our biggest action yet to shed light on the proposition and the issues it addresses with clear information, Jewish wisdom, and dialogue. RAC-CA’s Forum on Prop 15 will be on Tuesday, October 6 at 7 p.m

LGBTQ in Israel: When Tel Aviv Meets the Rabbinate

Matan Zamir Deputy Consul General in SF grew up in Jerusalem where his family has lived for nine generations. He is a lawyer; he received his L.L.B. from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem in 2008 and like any passionate Israeli, Matan enjoys his basketball, and upon moving to San Francisco he became a proud Golden State fan. Zamir and his American partner Dylan Chuilli, are excited to be in San Francisco and the couple, who are avid wine connoisseurs, enjoy exploring California's wine country. As an interfaith couple — Chuilli is a non-practicing Christian — Zamir told the Bay Area Reporter during an interview earlier this month that he looks forward to working with the San Francisco Bay Area's large interfaith community.
