Rock Shabbat
Friday, June 3 at 7:30 PM, wine and cheese reception at 6:30 PM
Featuring the musical stylings of our Rock Shabbat Band!  An innovative and joyous worship experience with musicians (piano, percussion, guitars, trombone, etc.) and singers joining Cantor Meeka Simerly and Rabbi Dana Magat. Congregational singing is definitely encouraged, as is dancing in the aisles.  Join us as we welcome the Sabbath in a fun and lively manner.  All members and non-members are invited to a service like you've never been to before.  We will also be honoring all of our graduating seniors at this service.  Our Rock Shabbat service is preceded by a wine and cheese reception that is open and welcome to all.

Community Pride Shabbat

Join Temple Emanu-El, Rabbi Dana Magat, and Cantor Simerly together with the clergy of Congregation Shir Hadash, Congregation Beth David, and Congregation Sinai for the South Bay Community Pride Shabbat.   We welcome the LGBTQ Jewish community, along with allies, family, and friends, to celebrate Shabbat with an inspiring service of celebration, remembrance, and hope with inclusive and affirming liturgy. Please note, t here will not be a service at Temple Emanu-El.

Baby Shabbat

Babies, and bagels, and blessings, oh my!  Join us on the second Saturday of every month for a Shabbat experience geared towards families with children ages 0-30 months.  Little ones will enjoy a service full of Shabbat songs, Torah studies, and parachute play!  Kiddush, motzi, and a bagel oneg sponsored by Temple Emanu-El Sisterhood will follow this fun-filled program.  This is a great opportunity for parents of young children to meet and form groups with their peers!

Camp Newman Shabbat

Join Rabbi Dana Magat and your Temple Emanu-El community for a Shabbat at URJ Camp Newman! Festivities include a reception with our Camp Directors, Shabbat dinner, singing, and dancing.
