World Zionist Congress Elections
The WZC, also known as the Parliament of the Jewish People, comprises 500 delegates and meets in Jerusalem every five years. It enables delegates to exert ideological influence on both Israeli society and the global Jewish agenda, as well as allocate financial and other resources to various organizations – including the Reform Movement – in Israel. 

The elections take place from:
January 21 to March 11, 2020.

Kabbalat Shabbat with Shira Kline
February 28 // 6pm

Join us for a musical, meditative Shabbat evening service on Friday, February 28th, at 6:30PM with special guest artist, Shira Kline.Shira will bring us her own unique, creative service to inspire both personal reflection and communal bonding through music and meditation. A co-founder of Storahtelling and Lab/Shul NYC, Shira’s work as Director of Worship is to ignite expression of spirit and heart through the medium of the musical soul.

Yoga Shabbat with Rabbi Laurie Matzkin

Join Rabbi Laurie Matzkin for a Shabbat yoga class combining mindful movement, creative ritual and reflective study. Makom Yoga provides a refreshing mix of Jewish learning (with themes flowing from the weekly parsha, upcoming holidays, and beyond) with guided meditation, breath work and asana practice. 

Adult Education: The Real (Adult) Purim Story

It is Purim, the time of costumes, children’s carnivals and the reading of the Magillah. It is a happy holiday and traditionally the original Jewish gift giving holiday. However, is there a darker side hidden in all the noisy merrymaking? Learn the true story with Rabbi Schwab! Register for class below.

Sisterhood Mahjong is happening every month on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays from 6:30-9:00pm in Religious School Room 21.

Purim Carnival

Come celebrate Purim with all your friends and congregants! Hear the story of Hamen and dress up in your best costume! Don't forget the BBQ that is being provided by Brotherhood! See you there!

Erev Purim Adult Experience
March 9 // 6pm

Celebrate Purim with your fellow adult congregants. This will be a BYOB event, but snacks will be provided. Join us as we read the Book of Esther and your fellow congregants will read different parts! Be sure to dress up in your best costume for this great event!

Lunch & Learn
March 11 // 12pm

Join the Rabbi for lunch, and bring your opinion! Bring a sack lunch and join Rabbi Magat on the second Wednesday of each month to share in a stimulating discussion of recent events, political happenings, and other relevant topics related to current events.
