Annual Campaign
Our Annual Campaign launched on Erev Rosh Hashanah and continues through December 31. This is an integral part of the Temple operating budget. It is thanks to generous donors like you, that we are able continue to provide enriching experiences like Neighborhood Havdalah, Rock Shabbat, Shabarbecue and much more. Every contribution makes an impact and we invite you to get involved in a way that is meaningful to you and your family.

Adult Education
Learning Hebrew, about our holidays, or our heritage isn't just for the kids, it's for adult too! We've got a great variety of classes available for adults wanting to learn more about their Jewish faith and upbringing. Both members and on-members are welcome to attend! Check out the class list below.

Erev Sukkot Experience & First Night Fiesta!
October 13 - 5:00pm
Bring your own dinner and decorate the sukkah with your Temple Family followed by a special Sukkot festival service. Open to non-members and members. Afterwards, bring your dinner, and join together in decorating the Sukkah with your Temple family, followed by a special Sukkot festival experience.

Scotch in the Sukkah
October 15 - 6:30pm

Brought to you by Temple Emanu-El's Brotherhood, we proudly present Scotch in the Sukkah! A fine array of scotch whiskies will be available for tasting, and a kosher meat dinner will accompany your drinks. Registration required. 

TEPS Fundraiser

20s and 30s are welcome to join Cantor Amanda Edmondson for a night of free sushi. However, RSVP is a must - please RSVP to admin@templesanjose.org .

Jewish Medical Ethics: A 21st Century Discussion
While modern medical knowledge preserves life, modern advances have raised moral and ethical dilemmas related to the sanctity and dignity of life—issues whose scope was unimaginable a generation ago. With instructor Rabbi Leslie Alexander at the JCC, 14855 Oka Rd., Los Gatos. Mondays 10/28-12/30, 10:30am-12:00 noon.

Pancreatic Cancer Awareness - Team Tikvah
November 2

This November, Ari, Sherry and Nat will once again take part in the Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Network’s Purple Stride walk to raise money for pancreatic cancer research and advocacy.  They are sponsoring a team - Team Tikvah - for the walk. They would like to extend an invitation to the Congregation to participate in the event. The walk will be on Saturday, November 2. It is estimated that this cancer causes the second-largest number of deaths in the US yearly. It also dis proportionally affects certain ethnic groups, for example Ashkenazi Jews and African Americans.
