Turkey Drive

Latkes and Laughs

Grab your tickets while they last - only a few left! Join us for a night of hilarity - all kosher, of course! Jeff Applebaum will be leading a night of comedy, latkes, and a little bit of singing. We're also celebrating the first night of Chanukah. No need to bring candles or menorahs, we'll provide!

Congregational Shabbat Dinner

Join us for our latest and greatest Shabbat event, our Congregational Shabbat Dinner! This event will be held every first Friday of the month throughout the Religious School year. For only $5 per person you can get an awesome meal and some fabulous company . Please be sure to bring your chanukiah/menorah to celebrate the sixth night of Chanukah! Baby Shabbat

Temple Emanu-El presents a Shabbat experience geared towards families with children ages 1-30 months. Little ones will enjoy a service full of Shabbat songs, Torah talk, and parachute play! Kiddush, motzi, and a bagel oneg. Everyone is welcome!
Jews and Brews
Tuesday, December 11th at 7:30 PM
Join Temple Emanu-El for our third Jews and Brews! Meet new people and make new friends as we relax with good drinks and tasty snacks! All 21-and-up adults in their 20s and 30s are welcome. Please RSVP on  Facebook .
Yoga Minyan

Join Rabbi Laurie Matzkin for a Shabbat yoga class in the BFR, combining mindful movement, creative ritual and reflective study. This class is gentle and suitable for all levels, with modifications offered to meet individual needs. Come with a beginners mind and an open heart, and get ready to stretch your body into Shabbat! Embrace-A-Family This Hanukkah
Wednesday, November 14th - Tuesday, December 18th
We are partnering with Jewish Family Services of Silicon Valley to fulfill the Chanukah holiday wishes of families and seniors who would otherwise go without gifts. We have displayed in our foyer a dreidel board full of wish cards that you can choose from. Stop by Temple Emanu-El and pick up a wish card, return your gift and dreidel tag to JFS by December 18, and put a large smile on someone's face! Menorahs & Miracles

at the Children's Discovery Museum, 180 Woz Way, San Jose
Games, crafts, and music: these are just a few of the fun activities you can enjoy at “Menorahs and Miracles, a Hanukkah Celebration.” This annual event is a partnership between the museum and the APJCC, and features Hanukkah game and craft tables from the JCC, Hanukkah songs in the museum's theater with Yavneh Day School, Hanukkah storytime with PJ Library, plus all your regular favorite museum activities. Chanukah Night with SJSU

Come celebrate Chanukah with a San Jose State basketball game! San Jose State Spartans will be playing Bethune Cookman Wildcats.
