Rosh Chodesh - RSVP Today!
Saturday, April 29 at 9:00 AM
Ladies, please join us on Saturday, April 29th, for a relaxed brunch and spiritually uplifting Shabbat experience, as Cantor Edmondson helps us welcome the new month of Iyar. This Rosh Chodesh experience, co-sponsored by the Temple Ritual Committee and Sisterhood, is open to all adult women in the congregation and will take place from 9:00 AM until about noon. Each Rosh Chodesh experience will focus on different ideas and have different activities, and in this one we'll embrace the month that is traditionally a month of healing. We'll get to know each other with a guided meditation, study, and exploration of faith on this lovely Shabbat morning. We'll also have the opportunity to learn about the healing power of crystals by making our own crystal grids. Please come and see what this relaxing and rewarding experience is all about!  And also bring a copy of your challah recipe--whether it's the one your grandmother made and handed down to you, one you created, or one you just found on the internet! Also enjoy brunch, generously provided by the Temple Emanu-El Sisterhood. RSVP is a MUST to admin@templesanjose.org BY FRIDAY AT NOON, APRIL 28TH.

Special Erev Shabbat Service - Cantor's Installation
Friday, May 12 at 7:00 PM
Cantor Kay Greenwald will be singing with Cantor Edmondson, and Rabbi Margie Slome will participate in the installation.
Rabbi Marjorie Slome is the rabbi at West End Temple in Neponsit, New York. Rabbi Slome was an integral part of Cantor Edmondson's journey to the cantorate through her mentorship and guidance. Cantor Kay Greenwald, as the Director of Placement for the American Conference of Cantors, has played an important role in Cantor Edmondson's career. She has been there to guide the way, answer questions, and give advice as Cantor Edmondson transitioned from school to her first full-time cantorial position and finally to her new home here at Temple Emanu-El.  Join us for a special service and a celebratory oneg to follow in honor of Cantor Edmondson.
