Moms, escape to the Berkshires with your daughters for the weekend! Bring grandmas and aunts as well! We'll begin on Friday afternoon at 5:30pm and welcome Shabbat camp-style. While the girls are cared for by our superstar staff, there'll be special opportunities for moms to socialize with one another. We'll say our good-byes at 11:00am on Sunday morning. Join the author, Alyson, who grew up at our Temple, for a book reading and book signing.  Alyson's new middle grade novel FOCUSED features a girl caught between her love of chess and her ADHD. Alyson explores how, when life gives you a challenge, the best way to face it is with an open mind, an open heart, and the open support of the people around you.

It is a rags to riches story chronicling the rise and fall of  Sammy  Glick, a Jewish boy born in New York's Lower East Side who, very early in his life,  makes  up his mind to escape the ghetto and climb the ladder of success by deception and betrayal. It was later made into a long- running  Broadway musical. Discussion led by Professor Jonathan Silverman.
