Shabbat Va-et’chanan - July 30, 2020 - Av 9, 5780
Shabbat Shalom Message
from Danny Glassman
Dear Friends,

In this week’s parsha, Va-et’chanan, Moses continues his final instructions to the Israelites. He begins first by pleading to God to allow him to enter the Land of Israel, but is only refused. Moses then turns to the Israelites to remind them that God had given them laws and commandments to live by when they entered Israel.
Digital Worship Schedule
Judaism holds pikuach nefesh, saving a life, as one of our highest values. In order to protect the health and safety of our community, Temple Jeremiah will be offering services via  Zoom.

We invite all congregants to tune in and follow along with the  Mishkan T'filah. For those who do not have a copy of the  prayer book at home, you can now  read a fully digitized version of the  Mishkan T'filah online.

Volunteer with Feed the Hungry
We continue to support the hungry by packing lunches the first weekend of every month. Spend some quality time with your family this weekend performing a mitzvah. Although we are all set on delivery drivers, we still need families to prepare lunches. Please read the special COVID-19 safety guidelines for updated instructions on how the lunches should be prepared. Lunches should be dropped off at Temple Jeremiah no later than 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, August 2nd.

Learn About Temple Jeremiah's Staff with #TakeoverTuesday on Facebook
We want everyone to get to know Temple Jeremiah's fabulous staff even better! To help connect our staff and congregants, we've created #TakeoverTuesday, a new tradition in which a staff member will take over the temple’s Facebook page every Tuesday! They’ll post about what they’ve been up to, what they do at Temple Jeremiah, and give you a little glimpse into their lives.

This week's #TakeoverTuesday was helmed by Dina Bauwens, Temple Jeremiah's Member Engagement Director! To check out a review of her posts, click here.
