No Sunday Feast Due to L.A. Ratha Yatra

Sunday, August 6th - On Sunday, August 6th, all the San Diego devotees will migrate to the Los Angeles Ratha-yatra, which is the largest annual Hare Krishna festival on the West Coast. Because of the festival, the San Diego temple will be closed and there will be no Sunday Feast on August 6th. But please join us for the festivities in Los Angeles
There will be a chartered luxury bus leaving from the San Diego temple on the morning of August 6th and returning in the evening. See details below.

Service Opportunities at L.A. Ratha Yatra

Each year at the Los Angeles Ratha-yatra, the San Diego devotees are responsible for two wonderful service opportunities. Please join us for these exciting chances to serve.
-
During the parade, the San Diego devotees traditionally chant in front of Lord Balarama's cart, which is the last cart in the procession.
-
The San Diego devotees are responsible for the Free Prasadam Booth serve-out at the festival grounds between 12 PM and 3 PM. Volunteering for this service is the most fun you can have at Ratha-yatra.

This Sunday's KrishnaFest Program
Sunday, July 16, 2023 - 5:30 PM

Hare Krishna
Please visit the temple this Sunday to take darshan of the Deities, participate in kirtan, listen to a discourse on Krishna consciousness, and enjoy prasadam.
There will be kirtan and Deity darshan from 5:30 pm to 6:00 pm, followed by the Sunday KrishnaFest class by His Grace Balarama Dasa. The program will end with kirtan from 7:00 pm to 7:15 pm and a sumptuous prasadam feast served in the temple room. A $5 donation is requested for the feast.

On Sundays we gather with hundreds of friends and visitors for a lively festival of music, dance, mantra meditation, and enlightening discussion that culminates in a delicious multicourse vegetarian/vegan feast. Come relish the sights, sounds, tastes, and smells of the world's oldest cultural tradition. The Sunday program begins at 5:30 pm.
Please note: Children must be supervised by a designated adult at all times while on ISKCON property.

July 2023 Ekadasi Schedule |
|
Ekadasi has been set aside for us to observe a fast to please Krishna and is a special day for devotees. Srila Prabhupada asked us to fast on Ekadasi by avoiding eating grains and beans, anything made from them or anything that has them in it. This means avoiding bread, pasta, lentils, and rice, as well as beans and preparations made from bean flour.
